The Sydney Royal Easter Show 2011 hey guys, today me and my daddeh went to the easter show yes? indeed. TWAS FREAKING FUN! but the day literally went by in a blink of an eye. being the ultimate horse lover i totes spent a good majority of the day in the stabling area. there was this girl who was grooming her horse and being curious me, i went over and started asking her questions. she was nice and answered questions willingly. bless her, or else i wouldve made it ultimately awkward and she let me pet her arabian horse. after a while i told her i better roll so she could finish grooming her horse and somehow the subject went onto how old she was. there was me standing there thinking she was my age or older, turns out she was 11. ELEVEN! and competing in horse shows... 1) that make me feel practically ancient, 2) she seemed so independent and mature, 3) made me feel utterly talentless lol, 4) why couldnt i know how to ride and compete? and 5) SHOCKERS - she was taller than i was... then we went and saw what was apparently australias biggest cow. mind you it WAS pretty massive. it weighed like 1559 kilos or something... im not sure about the tenth number, but wouldnt make much of a difference to the value. i think it was channel 7? news there filming the cow... haha. australia + agriculture = internal love. dude, was there a heck of a lot of people there today (yesterday, coz its currently 12:02 am and i literally got home approximately an hour ago), being good friday and all. woolworths dome is always good if youre hungry HAHA taste testings, free samples and wine tasting. (LOL) hey, im legal now - better make the most of my teen legal age. before i really wanted one of those propeller caps, but they were selling it at the easter show. no, i didnt get it because we all know what ever is sold there EVERYONE whose anyone would have it and know where you got it from. so i opted for my next option and got an animal beanie. actually it wasnt even a proper animal beanie. it was just one of those furry beanie-like hats with bobbles and ears on them. i suppose you can still call it an animal beanie... it was also funny because everyone else went for the propeller caps and i was the only one within a 10 mile radius with the furry beanie... people, dont be jelly ;) the show bags this year wasnt that great... and many were sold out before i even got there because there was just SO MANY PEOPLE!! i couldnt even get to my favourite stable and look at the cowboy boots i wanted ): i actually quite like the cheap candy they give in the bags... LOL OHH they sold BAND TSHIRTS THERE! it seriously felt like soundwave again. the prices was even like soundwave. my daddy was reluctant to let me have one because there was alot of men in black t-shirts there and it didnt seem like a "girls" place to be. meh, got one anyway - TOTAL REBEL! LOLjk, i happen to be very persuasive. what really annoyed me in this awesome trip is this thing with select, i repeat SELECT, ASIANS! it made me get really pissed and annoyance just clung onto me. dont get me wrong, im not saying im against them, because i obviously cant, im asian too. but some of them seriously need to consider their surroundings.. so there was the goat pavilion and they were selling natural products made from goat milk and i was standing off the door way so people can get through. at the counter and in the doorway was a couple of asian ladies who took their sweet ass time getting out and made people who were trying to get across kinda annoyed. it annoyed me too. and then this white lady came out the door and said "cant they just get out of the way?" and shoved me. SHOVED ME!!! i wasnt even in the way! WTFFFFFF full made me look bad and i got pissed. then dad cheered me up by finding the place where you can pet baby goats and lamb. what are baby goats called? I like staying at home most of the time, not really a city goer or late-night partier. I apologise if that sounds vaguely mundane and boring to you. I like to read and just being with my guitar. I would enjoy nothing better than to sit at home with donuts, fairy bread, pizza and sushi to watch movies. Other than that, i wouldn’t mind occasional festivals and visits to the theme park. When I buy DVD's, I always get the 2 disc editions, because I love all the behind the scene footages - it amazes me everytime :) I like seeing new things and experiencing it - just for the thrill of it. But, im not great with fears so I tend to shy away from those… |
