hey you guys!

well, arnt i just the most committed blogger? PAH, seriously sorry guys for not posting for a million years. blogger sounds practically ancient right now. but anywhos, im back, not just to blogger, but im back from overseas! yes, i sailed flew the seven only sea to the country with the greatest population. indeed if you have guessed China you stand correct. honestly though, if people were money China would have to be the richest country in the world.

so HOW WAS YOUR TRIP MOINI?
we left for China right after christmas (missing the sales ): ) what can i say? it was supercalifragilistically G-R-E-A-T. considering which was you look at it. the travelling was quite a dag, because im not excellent with plane rides. its just the small of the captivating seats and the whole tube of passengers makes the plane feel extremely small bringing on the extreme bouts of claustrophobia. i found out ALOT in china, one news next to the other, good and bad... BUT lets start off with  the Chinese I-N-T-E-R-N-E-T. ok, first off it kinda sucks, which is the reason why i couldnt blog for about one and half months. i suppose i couldnt update and open the page of blogger had something (read: ALOT) to do about censoring tibet (later confirmed by denise, which the deal was later sealed by my aunt). so i was lost with out any sites except for hotmail, ohh lifesaver.

i was actually excited to see snow for the second time of my life, coz before we left the news told us there was going to be large amounts of snowfall. but, NO for the 6ish weeks we were there, there was only two sheets of snow which came randomly ): however there was a week of epic coldness which tore at us at a temperature of -29 degree celsius. my ears almost fell off and the trains we took actually had frostings inside of the train windows. yes, it was that cold. everyone looked like they wrapped woolen blankets on them in the streets. i had to wear a skivvy, a woolen long sleeved shirt, a jumper and an arctic jacket on top. on the bottom i had to wear tall woolen socks with stockings inside, a thick woolen pants with jeans and boots. ohh and dont forget the gloves and beanie! gee, was i tucked in.

but family speaking, i didnt really get to see many people because of the cold weather and its hard for anyone to get around and other things... but, im pretty content with seeing my aunt, uncle and especially my grandma. i miss them, i miss them so very very much.

OMG, China is TOTAL SHOPPING GALORE! well, most of it is... unless you go to dodgey places.. but everything is so CHEAP. well, to us anyway because of foreign exchange and all that jazz. but what really annoyed me about clothes was the sizes. they practically had no sizes. people who wasnt skinny and chinese, you probably wouldnt fit. so i got cut a lot on those trips. i still need to clean my room because things are still everywhere i need to put away, ive apparently run out of drawers... clothes and hello kitty stuff away, the food. i gained like a dress size, i know, how embarrassing. LOL but, rather now then regret not eating when i come from to australia and missing out on all the yummy foods you could ever imagine. coz you dont get them often here, nuh-uh.

BUT, the most exciting bit of the trip was Chinese New Year. it was simply amazing. the streets were wrapped, draped with red and gold with a whiff of luck in the cold crisp air (and i dont mean the ones that rip your face open at the vege and meat place at the morning food markets). on the nights in the week of chinese new year we got to light firecrackers and fireworks and its practically the most amazing experience to light one, run and bash your eyes with colour - adrenalin rush. however its quite dangerous to stand about five metres from exploding point, but the feeling was so great i dont think anyone cared very much about getting hurt and if we do end up getting hurt, it would be totally worth it. just remember to close your mouth because i found myself hanging open my mouth because the view is so beautiful i didnt even realise the wrappers were blown into my hair (not in my mouth - mind you). on Chinese New Years eve me and my mum walked around the streets only to hear fireworks and firecrackers going off for hours on end and well into the night till the next morning and on to the next day... its THAT epic.

OHH and before i forget, on this trip, i found out i GOT MY FIRST PREFERENCE FOR UNI!!! so this year im going to UTS, doing a Bachelor of Communication; Media Arts and Production. dayyum am i excited for it! however, the downside is that because i kinda flew in (yeah we had to book in an early flight because of my uni enrollments ): ) late and ended up with bad uni times which even made the counter guy laugh. oh well, better go an extra day (or two) for uni than not going to uni at all...

overall, it was pretty great, and seeing family makes me feel and be a lot closer to them, it makes me see more in whats going in the world, to take on responsibility. it makes me realise how much i love my family.

hope you guys had a lovely holiday (:

P.S: yesterday me and fuzz went to bowlerama at bondi - IT WAS TOTALLY GNARLY!!!! not counting the queuing for seats, THAT was a pain in the butt coz the stands were PACKED OUT. i was totes stoked for the skaters and the merch + free mountain dew :D. makes moini one very happy girl. ohh did i forget to mention the sea of eye candy? my eyes constantly had sugar seizures. steve cabellero was one of my faves :D he was competing in the masters, as for the pros... im not sure but im going to have to check online for that one.

ASPIRE

Aspiring Film Maker. Media Arts and Production student. I love reading the goofs on imdb.com :) film is my language.
Sci-fi. I like staying at home most of the time, not really a city goer or late-night partier. I apologise if that sounds vaguely mundane and boring to you. I like to read and just being with my guitar. I would enjoy nothing better than to sit at home with donuts, fairy bread, pizza and sushi to watch movies. Other than that, i wouldn’t mind occasional festivals and visits to the theme park. When I buy DVD's, I always get the 2 disc editions, because I love all the behind the scene footages - it amazes me everytime :)

I like seeing new things and experiencing it - just for the thrill of it. But, im not great with fears so I tend to shy away from those…
