HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! hey everyone! so its a new year and its yet again time to jot down the big ones classified under the new years resolutions. so this year, i hope for it to be a much better outcome than what was deemed 2011.. even though i thought that was going to be a year of greatness, but i suppose not. after careful considerations (read: spur of the moment/just though of it), may the resolutions be underway :)
but of course im not going to hold any of these resolutions against myself because although i shall attempt to work and achieve these, it does not necessarily mean i MUST achieve them. i would mope, but i wont beat myself over it like i did when I DIDNT/COULDNT GO TO HOT DAMN ON NYE TO SEE DREAM ON, DREAMER AND NORTHLANE D:!! however going through 2011, i do feel a slight change in the way i behave socially... i think ive become more confident and find it easier to talk to strangers (not that i advise you to do that), but i get more out of it. 2011 was bleh, didnt even go see fireworks from my window :( at least the weather is looking good for the first day of 2012... good call, good call... ♥ moini Labels: holiday?, resolutions + (9) click here if youre super cool(:12:58 PM

melt my icicles. oh hai, everyone! i feel i have neglected this. i truly apologise.. LOL nye tomorrow :( makes me kind of sad haha. so today my mum and i took down the christmas tree for the year (so damn early, right?) and it was only then that the idea of christmas finally came to me and it has passed. the festivities just hit me, but its too late. growing older really fucking sucks exhibited next to my childhood where i would get super excited for holidays like christmas. and now new years is just around the corner, i feel that this year has gone by really fast and it makes me think about how many opportunities i have or might have missed out on, plainly based on the fact that i couldnt be bothered with things or kept to myself. this year seems like a shell to me, didnt feel like ive accomplished anything. its there, but nothing special or worth documenting happened. like really old cheap head phones that you dont care when it gets tangled, so you just leave it there not bothered to unravel the knots and jumbles. i kind of want to go out tomorrow night, but not to house parties because ill probably want to hit everybody there… Labels: christmas, new years, reminsice + (8) click here if youre super cool(:4:22 PM

TWISTED SOUNDS! Was mighty gr8! Sienna Skies, Built on Secrets, Sound of Seasons, For All Eternity, Obviously your Superhero, To our Forefathers… The bands were so nice and amazing, especially when my friend and I had an hour chat with Steve Faull, nicest guy, so down to earth and approachable. Same goes for the dudes in Built on Secrets and Sound of Seasons. Can’t wait to see these three hardworking and amazing bands at Hot Damn in two weeks :D so excited! They deserve so much more… There is so much to say! HAHA but what kind of annoyed me was that people just stood there and did nothing. Sure, there were a couple of people who actually moshed.. but that was only like 5 out of the 100 ish people that were there. At first when Obviously your Superhero came on, nobody really moved about because it was the first band, set the mood, etc. They were starters, but good. All the bands were good. It was funny because they had wrist bands and I wanted one, so after their set, I just went up to the stage and asked for one because my friend wouldn't do it. LOL Amazing and nice people they gave it to us... WHEN BUILT ON SECRETS CAME ON I almost went in hyper mode. But it sucked because not many people knew them and they were good. They totally deserve so much more! I went a bit mental with jumping to the music and singing along with my friend and two other people because nobody else did TT and the drummer and lead actually came to thank us for the support personally AND I ALMOST HAD A HEART ATTACK! HAHA nice guys, Im glad I knew of them :) And then there was Sound of Seasons, my friend was a fan and I kind of am-ish. If I wasn't then, I definitely am now! so they played and then after a while they had to pack and leave for another show, merch was packed and everything, and THATS when my friend wanted to get merch and who had to go chase them to their vans and cars? ME! haha I didn't mind though. While my friend was looking at the shirts, I had a mini chat with the guitarist and HE SAID I DIDNT LOOK OVER 18!! haha so he asked us to go see them at Hot Damn (a club) in two weeks. TOTALLY KEEN! as we were walking back to the building, the lead singer was walking toward the car and we asked him to teach us his dance moves he did on stage. I cant get over how nice, friendly and approachable they are! Ok, so finally it was Sienna Skies, yes, the main act. AND SERIOUSLY NOBODY MOVED KWEJHKHF it was kind of frustrating so I dragged my friend and went to the front. SO we were the only ones jumping and headbanging along with the few guys who were moshing and Steve, YES THE LEAD, pointed to us and said "THESE CHICKS KNOW WHAT THEYRE DOING" and we were like "WHOOOOO", THEN everyone else started to move forward so i felt kind of special that I did something about the pit. What was even more awesome was at the end, my friend and I was waiting for my brother to pick us up, the lady at the food counter asked us if we wanted free hot dogs and we were like "HELLS YEAH" so we were sitting there eating and STEVE FROM SIENNA SKIES asked me if I got the food for free and obviously I told him yes. AND THEN HE CAME OVER TO US AND TALKED WITH US FOR LIKE AN HOUR!! I was awfully star struck, he thanked us too and I felt his tattoo. HAHA! he was cool and told us to add him on fb! HAHA such an amazing bloke. I like staying at home most of the time, not really a city goer or late-night partier. I apologise if that sounds vaguely mundane and boring to you. I like to read and just being with my guitar. I would enjoy nothing better than to sit at home with donuts, fairy bread, pizza and sushi to watch movies. Other than that, i wouldn’t mind occasional festivals and visits to the theme park. When I buy DVD's, I always get the 2 disc editions, because I love all the behind the scene footages - it amazes me everytime :) I like seeing new things and experiencing it - just for the thrill of it. But, im not great with fears so I tend to shy away from those… |
